why files not in shooting order on formated card?

Hi All

New here but hope I can help others soon.

However for now I have a question.

On my 1dx the files are not in the shooting order even on a formated card. Let me explain. I have a formated card and pictures from yesterday or last week are shown in Adobe Lighrooms import window inbetween pictures i took today. On all other cameras, !d iv, iii, 60d 7d ii the picture appear on a freshly formated card excactly as the shot.

It is not a big issue but anoying if I want to import only sertain pics as i have to search the whole card for them

Any ideas??

not much right in my left brain, not much left in my right brain!

Have you ejected the card at any point during shooting?  My cameras sometimes do something like that.

Why do so many people say "FER-tographer"? Do they take "fertographs"?

Unless you have done something to cause it, I have never experienced that.  Ever.  I don't even know what setting you would change to cause it, if you wanted it.
