trouble with 70D viewfinder

My 70D viewfinder has numerous vertical lines and I can't access any menu settings. Help.

Sounds like you might have the grid display on, though that should not just be vertical lines.

It's not the grid display. It definitely is something to do with the sensor.

Since the sensor data does not show up in the viewfinder, you need to re-phrase your question.

Thanks. I really don't know how to describe it. I'm just guessing it's the sensor. The lines are white, blue and some other colors. They are very close together.

Try connect your 70D to Canon EOS utility and see how it works from there.

It could possibly be a loose wire of the LCD.
