I have tried using bth methods of uodating the firware. When I load the firmware onto the card, the camera wont find the file. When I use the EOS Utility, it will not download from an exterior file.

Please be aware that microSD Cards with adapter any brand or type are not recommended for anything related to your camera. Capturing images, videos, firmware updates, etc. Please trust our experience and recommendations not to use micro SD's in your camera. It's asking for trouble and will at some point leave you disappointed. We wouldn't all be saying it if it weren't true. 🤔

Agree Rick. A glitch while shooting could mean lost images. A glitch while updating firmware could be a bricked camera.
