Hi,
I have a 5Ds and am trying ot make a stop motion over several days of a flower blooming.
I need to shoot it on memory card with 5min intervals and one battery charge.
I was wondering if there is a setting where the camera wakes itself back up to take a shot then powers down again so I dont have to change the battery?
Thanks in advance for any tips

It doesn't sould like something you'd be doing outdoors, so why not just use an AC adapter?

It doesn't come with one so would have to be an add on purchase, but good suggestion. Was wondering if anyone had done it with the camera on a timer release like a Vello or managed to make the internal one work?

A late reply, but according to the manual, the 5Ds does power down between intervalometer shots, and wakes again around 1 minute before the next shot is due. Two days at 5 minute intervals is around 600 frames and the battery (officially!) is rated for 700, so you might manage a couple of days - maybe drop down to a slightly longer interval?
Cheers,
Bob
