Hi OP, To change modes you press and hold the M-FN that is in front of the main dial. You can change drive modes. Since your are new to this camera I suggest to that you read the manual and learn your camera features and functions. You can Click Here for your camera manual. If you look on page 206 it shows how to change drive modes. When you change the drive mode you can set it to Single Shooting. With the Focus mode to One Shot which is Focus Priority.
