Hello, I bought my new Rebel T6i with an external flash (Vivitar 3000), but it doesn't flash when I take a picture.
Is there anyone who can help?
Thanks a lot!

You have to make sure to set the flash mode on the camera to manual instead of TTL.
I also suggest using manual exposure with the shutter set to the max sync speed and Aperture adjusted for exposure. You cannot use any of the automated exposure modes.

Probably not.
It can be tricky to get non-Canon flashes to work.
What exact model of flash do you have?
Are you using it on camera or off camera?

It's the VIV -SF-3000.
I am using it on camera.
