Why would my T4i Model number register as a T2i? Does Canon use standard bodies for all models?

I/O problem when uploading
When uploading pictures and videos, it says I/O problem, I am using canon rebel t1i...it was perfectly fine for three years and now it's giving me that problem.
Flash is out of control. Too Bright. Washes out all photos.
Bought a refurbed EOS T2i and the flash is too strong and washes out photos. Can't override.Any options? I'm ready to return it.

Black spot on subjects face when using flash? Both w/40D&60D. Why?

Rebel XS error

Sound
When I record in canon (500d), I can hear the audio, but when you step to the computer only shows the picture, the sound is not recorded, but if you see the film in the canon, the sound is there. Can someone explain this?? thank you César
