Hello,
I’m having an issue with my Canon 5D Mark IV. After connecting the camera to my computer via USB to copy photos and then unplugging it, I try to enable Wi-Fi (Menu → Setup → Built-in wireless settings → Wi-Fi/NFC → Enable). The option lets me select “Enable,” but Wi-Fi never actually turns on, it remains off.
I have already tried:
- Clearing communication settings
- Clearing all camera settings
- Removing the battery for an hour
- Re-entering a new camera nickname
Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings ,
On the 5D Mark IV, you cannot enable Wi-Fi if there is an active USB connection.

Or if it's in movie mode.

Thanks for your answers, the wifi don't not work even when enabled ever since I plugged the camera to transfer images (which Ive never done before that days, always ingesting images from a card reader). Since then, impossible to connect my camera via wifi, even when the USB is no longer active, and I'm not in movie mode.
Any ideas what can be the problem?
Thank you all
