Why does the canon rebel t5 have no exposure meter?

This is extremely important if you wish to know whether or not you’re under exposed or over exposed yet this camera as far as I’ve seen doesn’t have it which is frustrating because I want to be able to have the perfect lighting and exposures for scenes I’m filming.

Movie mode has it, too. Though you may need to be in manual exposure mode:
