This is bent and I'm not sure what it's called, how it happened  or how to repair it

I strongly suggest that you contact Canon Support for professional repairs.  Those items need to be precisely replaced and calibrated.  This is not a DIY project.

Failed shutter, can cost several hundred dollars to repair.  Depending on your model, may be cheaper to buy a used body that to repair it.
