What do you call the mirrorbox in a mirrorless camera?

Pretty much what the subject says. In a recent thread, I mentioned looking inside the mirrorbox. What would I say for an M or R series?

I was thinking along the lines of sensor compartment. I bring it up because "mirrorbox" is such a nice shorthand way to refer to it.

For the next question: What does the "S" stand for in RF-S lenses?

AFAIK, the sensorbox is the same size between the FF and APS sized sensors.
