Viewfinder Dioptric Adjustment

Cantrell
Enthusiast

All,

This morning I took some pictures at home and then packed my camera and lenses to go to my son's place. After I got to my son's place I got my camera and thought of taking pictures, but every time I looked through the viewfinder everything looked odd. Went ahead and took some pictures and they looked good, but looking through the viewfinder everything looked off. I changed my AutoFocus settings, my modes, and anything I could think of. Then I looked at the bottom of the viewfinder and noticed that the dioptric slide had moved by accident by me. Once I changed the dioptric back to its original everything looked great through the viewfinder. Moral of the story if things do not look great through the viewfinder check the dioptric first. Save your time and frustration.
