Using my smart phone to fire the camera

I have a rebel T6.  I downloaded the smart phone app and was able to take a picture through the phone and see photos stored on the camera.  But the next time I tried it didnt connect.  Any help will be appreciated.

You have to go into your cameras wifi and connect to your phone everytime you desconnect from either one.
