Unable to Zoom or auto focus with remote

Unable to Zoom or auto focus canon EOS M50 camera with EF-M 55-200mm lens with Canon remote control when in video mode. The remote is Canon BR-E1.

Make sure your remote is in Video mode.

There is no power zoom available for your lens. The Wide Tele buttons will not work with your 55-200 lens.

Currently, only the EF-S 18-135 USM has an optional Power Zoom attachment available.
