EOS 5D Mark IV How to adjust exposure during time lapse photography

Aerobatpj

I need to film in time lapse a building project starting early in the day, The problem I had is the exposure seems to be set firmly at the start and does not adjust as the daylight increases therefore after about 3 hours it is totally over exposed to the point of white out. How can I make the expose track the light ?

It seems it is not possible to have the exposure change during Time Lapse on this Camera. The Canon Knowledge Base says:- The exposure setting for the first shot will be applied to subsequent shots. so I will have to re-think what to do.

Just take a bunch of images and make a movie when you are done.
