T4i - Samsung PC Monitor HDMI

When I conect the camera to the monitar with the HDMI cable & try to play the video I have on the cam all I get is the first frame of the video but I cannot get the video to play with nothing I try !!

If I turn the cam to movie & start recording while conected to the monitar it will show a live picture ! But I cannot replay the clip after I record it ???

So we may better assist you, with your camera connected via the HDMI cable and the camera on and in the playback mode, what do you see on your camera's display?

With the camera on when I push the play back button while connected to the monitor the camera screen is black !!

Hi Bkieffer,

Since the display is going dark, the camera correctly detects the display.

I recommend checking the monitor to ensure that the correct HDMI terminal  is selected.  If you've been using an automatic selection mode, I recommend manually selecting the correct HDMI terminal, if you have that option.
