I use a Canon R7 for sports (take a lot of pictures only in Electronic mode) and it s my second Canon R7 that starts to fail to take pictures. Not sure if its a Button failing thing bcause it focus correctly. But sometimes when i press all the button to take the shot the camera simply dont do nothiing. Its a kind of new R7, have for only 11 months, and my last one got the same problem after 1 year of use, and now I have 2 Canon R7 in my home with the SAME problem failing to take pictures sometimes (not all the time), but it makes me loose money and precious shots that I need to deliver.
Sure its not a setting thing because I dont change my settings very often. And for my surprise both cameras got this problem after a firmware update (one with the 1.3 update and the other with the 1.6 update)
My wife has a R10 (yes) and it works flawlessly in the same jobs as me taking the same ammount of pictures every weekend. She never got any problem, but she never updated her firmwares so i HIGHLY recommend, if your camera is working properly I wouldnt update ...

caiocarvalhopho,
Have you tried resetting your camera to the default settings?
Have you tried a different drive mode like Mechanical or Electronic 1st curtain?
