Remove the 30 minute tax limit on my Rebel T7 How?

I got this camera to improve livestream efforts at our church, an upgrade from Pastor’s IPhone. Went through all kinds of drama to get it setup only to find out that the camera shuts off after 29 minutes and 59 seconds. Went through countless YouTube videos on how to fix. Nothing has worked but the videos are really old (3 years) saw this community and figured by now, someone has a fix that actually works. I am using the Elgato Camlink as my capture card and streaming through VMix. Please help!

There is no way to bypass the 29:59 limit. This camera doesn't support Clean HDMI OUT either.

Thanks for your reply. I am getting clean HDMI output though.

Are you using Manual Focus because this camera doesn't support Clean HDMI OUT. There are workarounds for this by turning off AF. Also the rear LCD screen goes black when an HDMI cable is plugged in. For proper Clean HDMI OUT the camera requires the hardware for it.

cbharris1124,

The T7 is licensed as a still (photo) camera which offers video capability. It will record video for 29:59 or when the video file size reaches 4GB (whichever occurs first).  This is well documented.  The camera does not support Clean HDMI out as Demetrius noted.  A video camera would be a better option for streaming or longer recording times.

I agree with the previous replies.  The T7 is an entry level camera that does not feature “Clean HDMI” output.

Canon’s list of cameras that feature “Clean HDMI” output needs to be updated.  Some Rebel bodies have the feature.  See if the suggestion offered in this post helps.
