I have a used Rebel T3i on Mac OS Big Sur, and I can't get it to connect to either EOS Utility or EOS Webcam Utility or Image Capture.
In the case of transfering photos, I have a card reader in the body of my MacBook, so not working with EOS Utility is fine and not a problem. However, I would REALLY like to get to use this as a webcam, especially for virtual auditions!
Any suggestions?
(Please and thank you!)

Welcome to the forum.
Are you using the cable that came with the camera? Are you on Big Sur 11.4?
If not, ensure that the cable you are using is a data cable and not just a charging cable (not that you can charge the camera with a USB cable).

Yes, I am on Big Sur 11.4. I am not using the cable that came with the camera, I was given this camera by a friend who was upgrading their own equipment. I will double check if it is a data cable or just a charging cable.
I may also try connecting the camera to an older computer (my laptop is not updated to the most current OS because it's an older model of Mac, for example).
Will report back if this solves the problem!
