I have the Canon Rebel T100, and just recently it has begun freezing up. It freezes through various lenses, different batteries, different SD cards, and persists after a reset (both clearing settings and removing the battery and holding the shutter button. This hasn't been an issue with this before, and I'm curious if there's any way to solve this. When it freezes, sometimes it doesn't focus; when I attempt to switch to live view by pressing the button, nothing happens. Similarly, when I press the menu, display, or image preview, it doesn't work. The screen remains dark. It's very peculiar. The camera will work temporarily after a reset, but it will ultimately continue freezing up. Its symptoms change frequently, but the bottom line is that it's inconsistent. Any tips/similar experiences?

Probably time for a new camera.

Well the T100 is nearing the 10 year old mark so a new battery and a new SD might fix it. It's a long shot but not too expensive to try.
When you do the hard reset do this.........
Turn the camera OFF and remove the battery. Remove the SD. Remove the lens.
Turn the power switch ON.Hold the shutter button down for at least 30 seconds.
Turn the switch OFF, reinsert the battery, and power on. It will work without the SD if the reset is successful but you can put it back also.
