I have previously upgraded the firmware on my R7 without any problem (currently version 1.2.0). I am now trying to upgrade to v 1.3.0 from the SD card. I'm following the recommended procedure i.e. a freshly formatted card, .FIR file in the root directly, mode set to P, etc). But when I initiate the upgrade, it stops at the last step with the OK button greyed out. In fact (and this scared me), the camera freezes, and I had to remove the battery to regain control. Since I'm afraid to brick the device, I thought I should ask whether anyone else had experienced similar difficulties?

This isn't really an answer, but I tried to update the firmware for a third time (same .FIR file, same SD card, same procedure), and it worked this time. Not sure why, though 🙂
