R7 Wireless Mic, will not pick up sound from wireless mics

My R7 will not pick up sound from wireless mics. I’ve tried Rode and DJI. They plug in via the 3.5mm mic output, and even upon turning the camera on, the mic receiver turns on. But the camera does not pick up the sound. I’ve tried everything I know to do. Please help.

Hello,

Your R7 isn’t detecting the mic. Most common issue is using a TRRS cable instead of TRS — the camera needs a TRS (2 black rings). Double-check that. Also, go to Menu > Sound Recording and make sure it’s not set to “Disable.”

I’m using the TRS cable that came with the mic. The mic recognizes the camera and will turn on and off with it but the camera still uses its internal microphone
