Yes, still befuddled by this new camera and not happy with not being able to DIRECTLY connect to my computer, but I've already ranted about that.
Now this: I set up the wireless download with Image.Canon, which asked me to setup download destination folders according to certain "rules", which I now find a little too opaque and complicated, so I want to go back INTO that setting and change what I initially set up. I've already scoured the Image.Canon FAQs and elsewhere but cannot find HOW to make that change - or even if it is possible. One FAQ suggests that you can do new sorting rules, but it's only about sorting according to image content. I simply want to set up a different folder and call it "download". Am I missing something or is this another function that Canon decided users shouldn't be able to control on their own after initial setup? And remember: I'm downloading to a COMPUTER.

I was curious about this post and read your previous posts and the manuals. I have never used your camera nor the Image.Canon app. IF it can be done (as neither the manual nor the "how to" page at https://image.canon/st/en/auto-download.html indicate that copying directly from your camera to the computer is possible), then I suspect you would have to do a clean uninstall and reinstall to change those settings to the ones that you want. Hopefully someone has the answer you seek which is not my answer.
If your goal is to avoid putting your images anywhere in the cloud (it is assumed by the manual and app that you will do so), it seems to me that you have two options - 1) use your phone as a "middle-man" in the process - download to phone, then download to computer via USB, or 2) set up a private cloud storage device on your network as your "middle man". Western Digital My Cloud is one offering - likely there are others. Then if you map your private cloud to your computer you can physically move the files to your computer (for post-processing, say).
As I said, someone here may be a Image.Canon guru and give you a better answer and solution. I certainly hope so. If, not then you might consider my suggestions as options.

Obviously, I'm not happy with the "new and improved" wireless connectivity, because in my opinion, it is not. The 360 HS provided quick and easy connectivity without a detour to the "cloud", and also provided much more user flexibility as to where those images ended up. As it is - now, with the 360 HS A - I have to specify in the INITIAL setup where those images are to be sent locally - i.e, my computer - and that destination CANNOT be changed in the future without DELETING my image.canon account and setting up the camera all over again, from scratch. I just confirmed that with technical support, which only reinforces my opinion that the HS A is not an improvement over the HS - quite the opposite. Whoever is designing these products ought to follow one simple, important dictum: If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I hear you. I recall using MS Outlook rules and created 20 or 30 folders and many many rules where my mail would go so that I could prioritize and sort my email (just as one might sort mail). The MS developers put a hard-cap limit in, or something along those lines, in an "upgrade" which turned into a "downgrade" for me. I've learned it doesn't pay to put too much emotional energy into those sort of expectations - or any expectations, for that matter. I cannot tell you how many products that I distilled down to my "favorite" only to have that product discontinued. I know it's frustrating but it seems best to just let go and move on.

It's gratifying to know that I'm not the only one experiencing regret when camera designers - or designers of any product - decide to "improve" their product. Leave well enough alone - as the Cracker Barrel company found out a few months ago. I can only hope that maybe someone in a position to change this will read and consider reversing this nonsense back to where it was, happily, with the HS.

I've just been vindicated in my dismay about the design mis-steps in this "new and improved" camera by this vlogger, who channelled me perfectly on what I found wrong with the 360 HS A, and more; give it a look - it's well worth it:
Canon’s New Camera Doesn't Make Sense.

Hello jeclose,
We appreciate feedback on bug reports and changes customers would like us to make to our products. We have a team that documents and handles customer feedback. If you want to contact them directly, they can be reached by going to our website HERE and selecting Feedback in the top right corner of the site. We do take customer suggestions and feedback into consideration when we are updating our products and processes.
You could also call phone support to have them create a case to escalate to our engineering team or for further troubleshooting if you'd like. If you would like to speak with a Canon representative, please contact our Technical Support Team at 1-800-652-2666, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ET.

I will certainly contact them, but if you had left the 360 HS alone I wouldn't be needing to rant here about what is wrong with the "new and improved" version.

I did watch the link that you posted - just wanted you to know someone did. I wonder if you, like I do, might not be a bit frustrated with yourself for not having taken the time to investigate enough before making a purchase.
I agree that it's a bit mystifying as to why that feature useful to you was removed, perhaps via SMOP (simple matter of programming). I cannot speak for Canon but I suspect it was considered more efficient to put energy into ensuring the cloud-based software is mature and robust. Downloads to computers are so 1990s! (just kidding, but you get the idea).
I noticed in the video there is a USB cable connection (obviously I am not an expert on your camera), but I didn't see it via my quick look at the manual anything about that connection. I'm surprised that you cannot just connect up via USB and access the files. That feature is certainly easy to enable in software, though there might be some concern that someone would corrupt the card via USB access. Hopefully your rant and the video will catch someone's attention and a firmware version will come out that at least enables use of a cable to download your files to your computer. I assume that you've tried this approach without success.

I notice on page 126 of the manual at https://hk.canon/en/support/0302209201 it says that you can download via USB cable, so it seems the capability that you lost was doing so wirelessly.
