R50 menu bar icons missing

Greetings, I just purchased (12/23) an EOS R50 + lens kit and have been doing the initial setup before taking it out and starting the real fun. However, in the top/main menu bar I cannot see/access the last 2 icons (the camera body and star) that I see in various YouTube videos on the R50. My firmware was updated yesterday to Ver. 1.1.0 but still no camera & star. What have I missed? Thanks for any help. Rich

What mode is the camera in. Full Auto DOES NOT show all menu choices and settings. The camera must be in (M, Av, Tv, P & Fv) modes for those options to appear.
