Questions about the Video time of the canon EOS M50

So I have been using this as a webcam and I quite like it, however I have added two with ATEM Black Magic Mini, my question is when I stream I do not use them to record, I just use them as a visual source, that being said, will they automatically shut off since they are not recording and is there a way around that or does it matter weather they are recording or not?

I am going to point out the obvious.  

You have the hardware.  So, why don't you just try it out for yourself?  Let us know how it works out.  Thanks.
