The Community was trying to help you with non-Canon equipment (which is actually against the guidelines) without being dismissive because you came to us asking questions like you didn't understand the basics of your gear. If you need help with your non-Canon equipment, please contact the manufacturer of the accessory for any available options.

shadowsports nailed it. One of the best investments I made was the Sigma dock when I moved to MILC's. Fixed all of the challenges I had with my Sigma glass and if you want to take the time you can fine tune you focus points for sharpness with the software.

good thing I bought it!! When it arrives, is the first thing I should do software update or autofocus management?

Firmware update would be my primary focus. I didn't have issues with all but one of my lenses which had a noticeable front focus issue. That lens was calibrated
There are several video that offer helpful information, search SIGMA TutorialーSIGMA USB DOCK.

stewy14, I would just like to add that the calibration process is a timely and very process driven procedure. Taking photographs at key focal lengths to determine if there is and issue with focus.
It is a bit painstaking and should be completed as directed or you can do more harm than good. Just ensure you have the proper tools, space to take images as calibrating and long lens requires additional space and allocate ample time to complete the entire process.
On the bright side, if I remember correctly there is a prompt to return the lens to factory settings.
