On the R5 camera, how can you display the focal length of the lens, on the EVF or rear screen, as you change it while zooming?

The R7 has the feature and I like it. The used R6 I got does not have it. It would be nice if the R6 had the same display options as the R7. Glad I did not get an R5 and find it missing... There are lots of good reasons having the Focal Length in the display can be helpful (even if it is an approximation).

So you're saying that the R7 can show the focal length while you're composing your (non-video) photo before you take it? That's GREAT! But, why oh why, can't Canon do that with the R5?

Focal length display is also a feature on the R6 Mark II and R8. I find it a handy feature to have on the screen.

I own both the R5 and R7, and the latter displays the focal length in the lower right corner of the EVF/LCD. I find this useful when composing. I find I'm missing a similar option in the R5, though focus breathing is always going to introduce some inaccuracy,
