the manual states the software won't work if the camera is connected to computer before loading the software so now the camera is not recognized. I run Windows 10 and didn't have the Canon solutions disc so I downloaded the software from Canon still to no avail. Any suggestions? The manual is 400plus pages, found the warning on page 405 still learning the camera.

Just uninstall all the Canon software, restart computer, and then reinstall without camera being connected to computer.

Thank You, this worked along with disabling the NFC, my photos are now on my computer. Thanks for your help!

Good. I think the real solution was just turning off the NFC.
