The problem happened after few moths i didnt use my camera. and i already updated the firmware. Is it possible the sensor is faulty?

Yes, I think your sensor could be faulty, too. Contact Canon Support for a repair estimate.

Hold on there before you condemn the sensor. Reset the camera in the tools menus tab. Clear all settings. Buy a brand new SD card. Get a name brand not a bargain card.
Now set the camera to Auto mode. ISO 100 and try it outside on a nice sunny day. If it still doesn't work properly call 1 (800) 652-2666
