I have a Canon Rebel t5i, and when I connect it to my mac it doesn't recognize it. It's like I'm connecting nothing to my computer. This problem happened a few times before, but has always seemed to fix itself before this. I've tried restarting my computer, and when I look at my USB tree it isn't recognized there either. I'm not sure how to fix this please help!

Additional, what about the USB cable. It is now possible to get USB "charging" cables that dont have the data pins wired. Are you using a proper cable?
