My Canon 70D card reader is not operating

Suddenly my 70D is not reading any memory cards on inserting. Plus the red flicker light is NOT flashing. Anybody with ideas to rectify ?

Is it giving you any messages?  You coulld have bent pins inside of the slot, so take a peak inside the slot.  If there is nothing that looks obviously wrong, I would say call Canon U.S. Support at 1-800-OK-CAANON.

The camera message says " no card inside the camera" and these are perfectly good cards. I did look inside the slot but see nothing strange.
