Muted colors on EOS R

I've had a Canon EOS R for a few months now and my only complaint is that is seems the colors in my shots are very muted until I post process. I'm shooting landscape photography generally in good lighting at F11. Increasing the ISO or exposure time doesn't help. The raw photos alway look drab compared to the real life scene. In lightroom I'm having to raise the vibrancy and saturation each up by +20 or so before it matches what I saw. Is there any setting that I should be aware of or tips for getting better colors out of this camera?

Have you tried looking at the images in Canon’s DPP4 app?  Which Color Space are you using?

We do not normally troubleshoot issues with non-Canon, third party apps on these forums.  I use Adobe LR and I use an Import Preset to import RAW files.
