Multiple exposures not saving source images on the R5

I was shooting in multiple exposures with the R5 and RF 24 to 105.  I have the camera set to save the source images but went i looked at the images the camera did not save the source images for a set of the images.  Then a little later i was shooing in multiple exposures again and it did save the source images.  I am not sure why sometimes it saves source images and sometimes it did not save the sources images.   FYI, the Save Source images was set.
Has anyone had this issues??
Thanks

The ability to save source images depends on the multiple exposure mode. When you switch on the multiple exposure you have two options, On:Func/Ctrl and On:ContShtng.

It is only possible to save the individual source images when you have chosen On:Func/Ctrl. If you choose On:ContShtng then save source images will be greyed out on the menu and you will only have the final composite image.

I just looked at the camera and you are correct.  The On:ContShtng. save source images is greyed out.  That is strange.  Thanks for the information.
