M50 adapter/converter for multi-function Hot Shoe

Base question: Is there a way to enable multi-function hot shoe capability for the M50 via an adapter?

In detail: I used to shoot nightclubs and concerts with a 6D, lens, extra flashes, battery grip, the works. I would set up slave flashes around spots and get amazing shots of the DJ, and Go-Go Dancers. That camera has long been retired and I stopped for a long time. I got an M50 2 years ago to get back into photography more as a hobby. Now the itch has been coming back. The Hot Shoe on the M50 isn't multi-function so I can't do that. I'm wondering if there's some kind of device that can bring that function to the M50.

Nope there’s no adapter to do this. Stick with older EX, EL-100 & EL-1 speedlites. The EOS M system has been discontinued and replaced by EOS R series Mirrorless cameras. So all development has moved there now.

You are correct that the hotshoe on the EOS M50 is not a modern multi-function accessory shoe, but it is a standard hotshoe the same as was found on the EOS 6D DSLR. Any flashes or triggers you used on the EOS 6D will work on the EOS M50 in the same way.

The multi-function accessory shoe has additional connections via the 21-pin connector so it is not possible to create them from the six connections found on the older EOS cameras including DSLRs and M-series. The restriction will be that you cannot use the multi-function shoe Speedlite EL-5, EL-10 and transmitter ST-E10. You can however use the older ST-E3-RT transmitter, and Speedlite 430EX III-RT or Speedlite 600EX II-RT devices.
