I had previously owned the t3i (since 2010/2011) and currently using the t8i (since 2020) but now looking to upgrade to mirrorless and not sure what would be best.
I am looking towards a full frame mirrorless body, I am currently using a Canon EFS 35mm, f 2.8 MACRO IS STM Lens with my t8i body, and my current type of work is capturing beauty behind the scenes photos and video, I need sharp image/video.I am currently struggling because I hate how my 4K Footage is cropped on top of the enhanced features. When it comes to editing I feel like I lose alot of the details and sharpness of my videos. All the images currently have to go through "denoise feature" on lightroom as well.

I would love to upgrade my body and lens to be able to get both wide and closeup shots, what do you recommend?

Greeting Rick! 🙂
Thank You So Much for your informative response! My current budget would be to stay under 4-5K
What I am currently using for additional Lighting:

The Godox V1 has an incompatibility with EOS R series cameras. In which High Speed Sync and E-TTL don't work.

Hi Veronica,
Due to your video needs and respecting your budget, I am going to recommend the following:
R6 mkII body $2299 from B&H** / or $2199 refurb from Canon
RF 24-70 f2.8 Refurb $1889
Canon Control Ring EF to RF adapter $199 / or no ring reburb $79
Speedlite 430EX III-RT - Refurb $239.99
This is about $4627, with 6.5% Tax (Canon) you are still under $5k
There are other possibilities, but here is my thinking.
The R6mkII has fantastic video capability and takes beautiful still photos. This can be utilized with the 24-70 constant aperture giving you good wide angle capability with the ability to zoom. I own this lens myself and its great lens providing razor sharp images and good video performance as Ricky (RS-EOS) can attest.
The EF to RF adapter allows you to continue using your EF 100mm f2.8, another high performing L series lens, and the EF 50mm. The Canon flash meets or exceeds all of the Godox V1 capabilites and is 100% compatible with the R6 mkII. You can continue to use your Aputure Amaran AL-F7 On Camera LED for video.
What you will sell, trade or give away:
T8i
EF-S 35mm
Godox v1
With this money, you will buy 2 additional batteries and 3-4 SD cards
Note: **Body from B&H - Its being ofered with a Free 2 battery Watson charger (you will be able to charge 3 batteries at once)
The R6 mkII has dual card slots and supports simultaneous, relay, etc recording. Pro level feature**
With that said, Let's see what others recommend. Their are more ways to approach this. I trust others will have valuable suggestions as well.
