Live View Shoot EOS Utility Canon EOS Rebel Xsi

I have an EOS Rebel Xsi, and I want to use it as a Webcam in conjunction with OBS.

I am unable to remove the AF point rectangular in Remote-Live Window EOS Utility 2 for my Canon EOS Rebel Xsi What can the problem be? When I push the button to turn the rectangular off, nothing happens.  The square figure feeds through to the OBS image during web streaming.  Is there any solution. I have updated the firmware on my camera and ensured that I have the latest software.

The camera functions very well as a Webcam in all other respects.

Can anybody help?

Maybe switch to manual focus?

I tried that as well. No success.

In addition, the list box and on/off buttons in the Focus window are disabled and I could not trace any setting to enable it.

Verify that you have the latest version of EOSU installed.

I have just installed EOS Utility 3.10 Dated 29 Jan 2019 Issue Number 0200580002, which is, as far as I can establish, the most recent update. The problem was not resolved.
