Hey guys, soo no idea about cameras, got my daughter a Canon eos 4000d for Christmas and it will not show the image you are trying to take a pic of , just shows the info for the setting your on then after the picture is taken it will show you your pic briefly , it will show previous pictures taken ,but won't display the pic being attempted to take.,.,.,. Any info for a camera illiterate guy would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I don't know if you are still around, or if you ever found the answer to your question, but there is a little button right next to your viewfinder. If you press that, you will be able to see a Live View on your LCD screen of what you are trying to take a picture of. If you press your Info button, it will cycle through various options.
