LC-E10 charger/battery not working?

Gatorade92

I bought a brand new Rebel T6 and it seems that my battery is not charging.  My product came with a LC-E10 battery charger.  When I put it into the power outlet, the 'charge' LED will blink every 1 second.  I am disappointed the owners manual says nothing whatsoever about the display light blinking or being solid.

I have left it charging for up to 3 hours yet when trying to power on the camera, nothing happens.

my best guess is that the battery is completely dead/unrecognizable to the charger.  Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Hi,

I bought the same camera in December (just before Xmas), have used it a handful of times. Long story short, charged the camera before usage, and it didn't turn to 'fully charged' even though I continued to leave it in there for the full day, and then overnight when that didn't charge it. Original battery might last 30 mins max now.

Recently decided to just buy a new battery, thinking that the original battery must be the issue, but no, exactly same thing is happening to my brand new battery. SO in my case, it MUST almost certainly be the charger that is the issue.

As I have only owned it for just over 6 weeks, can I provide proof of receipt and request a replacement for the charger?

Thanks,

Justin

Contact Canon with the customer support number, I am sure they can send you a new charger.

Contact Canon and get them to exchange the charger.  It is malfunctioning and if it decides to reverse its malfunction behavior it will go from under to overcharge which creates a fire hazard.  Currently at least your charger has failed in a safe manner.

Help my lc e10 hasn't been charging my battery.. The led would stay on and after about 5minutes it'll change to green light but the battery wouldn't be charged at all.. Then I got a new battery and now the led just blinks continuously.. What do I do????

I would return the new battery and try a replacement.  Generally the continuosly flashing light indicates a defective battery.

It is best to stick with a Canon sourced battery because third party products are a gamble at best.

Thanks. Yes, I bought a new battery, (to save myself the time) and it is DEFINITELY the charger.

Thanks.
