I have a Canon 20D and want to tether the camera to my Windows 7 laptop. Any suggestions?

Thanks for posting.

There are no drivers for the EOS 20D to work with Windows 7.  In order to download from your camera, a card reader will be necessary.

Alternatively, you can try changing the communication mode in the camera and using the built-in Windows software to download from the camera. Please follow these steps to change the communication mode in your camera:

1. Turn the <MODE DIAL> to (P)Program AE.
2. Press the <MENU> button.
3. Select [Communication].
4. Select [PTP].
5. Press the <MENU> button.
6. Power the camera off.
7. Connect the camera to the computer and power it on.

This connection mode will only allow you to use the built-in Windows software at best, but we cannot guarantee it will be successful.
