I’ve been struggling for a long time to connect wifi to my iphone. When I try to ‘clear settings’ under ‘communication settings’ it is blacked out and can’t be selected. As is the ‘nickname’ option.
Please help?

You have to set a nickname in the camera first to be able to change wifi settings. So if you cleared the wifi settings this remove the nickname, so the first step is to set a nickname.

Make sure Wi-Fi communications is enabled.
The camera will communicate using USB or Wi-Fi. You mist tell it which method to use. The camera is not able to switch back and forth on its own, and you would not want it to, anyway.
