Formatting and Viewing Pictures

My canon EOS REBEL T5 EOS 1200D won't format my card, also it won't let me view my pictures. Everytime I press the Image Playback button it says "Busy.. Please Wait." I've waited for over 30 minutes and I don't know what to do. I went to go format the card it said the same thing.

Get a brand new high quality SD card and try again to format it.  If it won't contact Canon service.

What is the memory capacity of the card that you're trying to use?  The camera is best used with cards between 8 and 32GB, although some 64GB cards may work with it. Be sure any of your cards are Class 10, too.

In order to work with the much larger capacity cards, the camera must have the smarts to do it.  I'm not sure if that camera has the capacity to format cards greater than 64GB, and then be able to use them.  Cards can have varying read/write speeds, too.  Less expensive cards may not be able to keep up with the read/write speed of the camera.
