This is a gently used camera that has worked fine for 2 years. Usually a screen pops up for downloading- I also tried downloading using the eos utility launcher but still not connecting to the camera. Not even showing a camera to connect to. any suggestions?

Hello maramada!
Thanks for posting.
What version of the Mac OS do you have?
When you connect the camera to other computers and power it on, do those computers recognize the camera?
If this is a time sensitive-matter, additional support options are available at Contact Us.

Thank you, MAC OSX 10.9.5 Maveric.
After updating canon eos software, trying different computers, usb ports and cords, I'm fairly certain it is an issue of the camera port for usb no longer functioning. Neither computer recognizes that there is a camera.

Hi maramada,
Since this has happened with several USB cables and at least 2 computers, unfortunately, your camera will require service to correct this issue.
To set up service, please go to canonusa.com/repair.
Once there, enter your model number, the date of purchase and your Zip Code, then click "Submit" to set up your repair.
