My pictures were there yesterday. I transferred them to my pc. But didn’t save them. I just went to look at something and they are gone! Pluggers camera into computer. They are not there m. Only 10 pictures are there. There were 300 photos and 4 videos! Now all gone! Anyway to recover the files?

Willl it be the same one I have in my hand because that’s unusful

And dosen’t really matter this camera is going back anyway. I am more concerned at finding or restoring my missing files. And yes I tried looking at it on 3 different devices and and with a card reader.

I had 300 pictures and 7 videos all there yesterday. Transferred fine. We’re still there. No all a sudden today poof! Only 7 pictures there.

I have a T7 and download the SanDisk directly to my PC, W11. Never had any problem but am careful to verify the photos are downloaded before I delete them by putting the card in the T7 and deleting then. Was the camera on to automatically delete?

I didn’t delete anything.

Didn’t delete from the camera or SD card. Just deleted them off my PC. And no the camera was not connected and off at the time!

You transferred them to your PC them deleted them off the PC.

That's what caused the problem, had you copied them, not transferred them, you would still have them on the camera.

No. The camera wasn’t even connected turned on or even near my desktop when I deleted them off my PC. I did what I always did with my previous camera and never ever had this issue. I use a usb cable not WiFi transfer. Then why are 7 of them still there while the other 293 and videos gone?

Basic running a recovery program on the card will do nothing?

If the files were “Move” off the card then there is nothing there. If they were “Copy”  then they are still there. If the card got corrupted the file index could be damaged but files would be there. Nothing to lose by trying to recover.
