EOS Rebel T7 Display shows up when pressing shutter button, how to use as webcam

"Hi everyone, I’ve set up my camera in manual mode and have a basic understanding of shutter speed and aperture. However, whenever I press the shutter button to take a picture, the display always shows up.

I also downloaded the Canon Utility Pro software and connected my camera to my PC to use it as a webcam, but it’s not working. I’m getting a black screen with an error message saying the camera is not connected.

This is really frustrating—any help would be greatly appreciated!"**

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Have you downloaded a copy of the User Guide for the T7?  Start typing “EOS Rebel T7…” in the box at the link below.

Try downloading the latest Canon software for your PC. The Webcam Utility also had instructions on the same page as the download page. Are you trying to connect using a USB cable?

Canon Utility Pro software 2.3.17.0 ,  when I take photos, it displays the settings shown in the picture belowcanon.png

I still cannot use it as a webcam

yes I use a USB cord

to take pictures I click that camera button than the back shutter button

Looks like normal image playback after you take a photo, to me.  The information displays can be customized.

Did the USB cable come in the box with the camera?  Make sure you have a USB data cable, not a charging cable.

Here’s a link to a T6 tutorial, which is similar to your T7.
