EOS Rebel T6 - wireless remote shutter

Hi canon community,

I am looking to get wireless remote for the basic EOS Rebel T6.  Everything i am finding is pointing to that i am unable to since there is no IR sensor on the camera.  Does anyone know of a work around for this issue?  Is there one that i can connect to the internal wireless?

Or if there is a good option for a wired remote that has a 10-15 ft span??

The Rebel T6 is Canon's most basic entry level DSLR.  It lacks some features and accessories that many people may take for granted, but it reduces the selling price.  A wireless remote is one of a handful such details. 

There are third party remotes available from companies like Vello.  I would advise ordering it online from a reputable dealer like B&H Photo Video.  They have some of the best after sale service around.  They also have specialists, who really KNOW the gear, who can help you select the best item for your needs.

You could get a Canon or third party wired remote and a 2.5mm pin extension cable. Amamzon carries them.
