have had this camera for a few years been taking great pictures but I was down for several months and didn't use it, have tried all the suggestions, reset everything, checked to see if mirror would move to check sensor clean that wasn't dirty. does autofocus just fine but won't complete picture. tried manual same situation new battery new SD don't know what else to do clean the contacts everything.

Will the camera work in live view correctly. See if it will take a picture via the LCD Screen.

I have tried everything manual auto I changed batteries SD card check manual AF switch changed lenses check to see if mirror was moving it will autofocus everything except complete taking the picture tried it with the screen light meter works through view reset settings to factory have no ideas talked to tech at Canon since they don't service this I am out of luck I guess. I'll have to save up and buy another body. I have two lenses one's a 35 80 and the other is ef 75 300.

Look into the new EOS R series. Canon has discontinued DSLR cameras and lenses. The EOS R series are Mirrorless cameras.

So my T-7 is outdated with the lenses I have. Found a few months ago, my car will no longer be made after 2024. When will I get a break?

We all feel like that. I’m going through the same thing with my 20 year old double oven. Parts are no longer made and the circuit board is on its way out. The LCD Screen doesn’t work right.

But you did get some miles out of double oven. Nothing you buy now will last as long!

Very true some of my kitchen appliances are on their way out. The fridge water and ice dispenser keeps breaking. The gas cooktop spark board intermittently works. We’ve already replaced it multiple times. The dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer have been replaced.

That's abut right. My son was told his new heat pump would only last 7-10 years. My original one here lasted 30 years!

Nothing is made to last anymore. It’s all about trying to sell you the newest thing. Instead of making replacement parts for 10 years or so. My neighbor bought a new gas range 2 years ago. To replace their old gas range which was 18 years old at the time. The circuit board got fried and was no longer available from the manufacturer anymore. So they had to replace it. They decided to buy another Whirlpool gas range because the old one lasted 18 years. But now this is new one is 2 years old and had to have the oven control board replaced 3x already.
