I have an older camera, an EOS Rebel T6, and need to use the Wireless function. But when I follow the instructions for registering a nickname, selecting 1. Wi-Fi/NFC, set, and 2. select Enable, set, I don’t see the screen to register a nickname. So I can’t use the wireless functions. Any ideas? Thank you so much for listening.

Hi Mabijibo,
Since the camera is automatically having you set a Nickname it may already have one set up. If a Nickname is already entered it won't show the nickname screen after enabling the wifi. You can check that by pressing the Menu button, go to the third yellow wrench icon, and select Wi-Fi Function. On the next page press the DISP button and that will bring up the General Settings screen. The camera will list the current nickname at the bottom of the screen. If you want to update it select Edit Nickname and you can give it the name you prefer.
