EOS Rebel T100 shutter button has 6-second delay

Can anyone tell me how to setup this camera so that whe I push the button to all the way down I do not have to wait 5 or 6 seconds for the picture to be taken. Thanks

Check the drive mode. It's probably set to 6 second delay. You can set it to single shot, continuous low and continuous high. Depending on what mode the top mode dial is set to.
