EOS RP will not connect to computer to use as webcam

I have an EOS RP that I'd like to use as a webcam on my 2022 Mac Studio with an M1 Max chip running Ventura 13.1 (most up-to-date macOS).

After a lot of error, I finally was able to download the correct version of EOS Webcam Utility. None of my USB-C cords were allowing me to connect the camera and computer. The camera would give me the laptop icon with a battery on top of it on the camera's display. I connected via the camera's network to make sure the camera was up to date on firmware. I downloaded OBS. I tried connecting via HDMI cables. I used several different USB-C cords. Nothing seems to grant me the ability to select the camera/EOS W.U. as my camera. It's not an option anywhere within OBS, StreamYard, Zoom, etc.

I'm not sure if there's something I'm doing incorrectly or if my computer is just incompatible because of its specs. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Hello sjfocer,

Please make sure that the camera is set to Movie mode in order to use the webcam feature. It sounds like your camera is set to import images.

I have been facing the same issue with my EOS RP, and i didn't find yet the correct one EOS web cam utility, 😞

Yes, i have made sure camera is on Movie manual mode, so on settings has been made.

Greetings Abu_ayyan,

Aside from having the camera in the movie recording mode, please make sure that you are using a USB cable to connect the camera to the computer. The EOS Webcam Utility will not work when using an HDMI cable.

I would suggest to also disable the camera's Wi-Fi function before connecting the camera to the computer. Please also check and close / quit any other application that may be attempting to communicate with the camera. For example, if our EOS Utility 3 application is running in the background, it will prevent the EOS Webcam Utility from communicating with the camera.

Please check and download the latest version of the EOS Webcam Utility. Canon will provide occasional updates to the software that may fix certain issues with the software application. I get to know from social media, that Eos utility not any kind of free application, i am trying to find how can purchase the subscription plan, 

If i create account US website, Or UAE Website i am not able to complete address book, I am located in the Saudi Arabia, and i didn't find any Saudi Arabia region. i am not able to run even free trial.. I think this is the main reason that Eos Webcam utility not working.

I have tried my regional platform either, but the result is as usual, I would see always EOS WEBCAM UTILITY WRITTEN on black screen and camera screen showing battery and laptop mark..

I have one simple questions, With out Subscription and with out starting trail period, Will EOS Webcam Utility working?

Or must have start trail period for get the display?
