Does anybody know how to check image count on canon r8? Want to buy it from ebay and watn to be sure about condition.

I might make the following suggestion. Buy the R8 refurbished from Canon. Refurbished products come with the same one-year warranty at a brand new camera does. It's a lot safer than buying from eBay.

Having a shutter count was a misleading metric for hybrid DSLRs. It is even more misleading when it comes to an MILC camera body.
The R8 uses both mechanical and electronic shutters. You can’t tell which one was used

I'm on board with the others shutter count if it is even possible to get an accurate one on a R8, is pretty much meaningless. You are better off just looking very carefully at the condition of the outside of the camera. How new looking is it?
